Minecraft and the server can seem very slow because your system is not powerful enough,
in reality it is due to disk access, which are very common because the level's data are stored in the
standard hard drive.
We can greatly improve performance by storing the level directly into the RAM and saving it to the disk
when we leave the game, I'll explain how:

- In first case you have to download this > LINK <
This is a tool that allow you to create a virtual drive directly into your RAM, after downloading, extract it and run "ramdisk.exe"

- Now we have to install it and configure it :
Click on "Install Ramdisk" and wait for the software finish (if a warning popup appears (on windows 7) continue anyway), it can be long,
I think your system needs a minimum of 2GB of RAM to do this work correctly
DISK SIZE: "256M" (it's the minimum i recommend)
DRIVER LETTER: "R:" (you choose what you want here)
MEDIA TYPE: "Fixed Media"

Press "Apply" and a success windows will appear, i recommend you to keep the program running to save when you finished playing, but you can open it later.

/!\ IT'S VERY IMPORTANT TO CLICK ON "SAVE IMAGE" BUTTON ON RAMDISK (and put the name you wan) BEFORE YOU SHUTDOWN YOUR COMPUTER
CAUSE YOU HAVE TO RELOAD IT AT EVERY RESTART OR THE DATA WILL BE LOST /!\

you can now find a new Disk Drive on your computeur,
Copy Minecraft on the new Disk (you can find your original Minecraft Folder by pressing windows key+R and type %appdata%
Execute Minecraft from the new placement and Enjoy the great performance improvement :)

PS: Every time you restart your computer the content of the new Drive will be Deleted so don't forget to save it by pressing "save image" on Ramdisk program
